❗️To all our Patients at City Dental: We will be opening soon but it’s not quite business as usual❗️

From Monday 8th June:

⚠️Our practice will be opening but the treatments you are offered may be different to those that you have received before as we will introduce a phased approach to treatments with patients in pain at the beginning of the lockdown given priority. It will take some time before services return to what you previously experienced as normal.

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: Our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been our top priority and our infection control processes ensure that the care you receive is both safe and comfortable.
Our practice follows strict infection control procedures set out by all the governing bodies. We also are up to date on all the latest Covid-19 guidance that has been issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to recommendations.

⚠️You will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff:
1️⃣ Before your dental appointment, you will receive a text/email inviting you to complete our new online Patient Portal. This will allow to you to complete all the necessary forms and to update your medical history from the comfort of your own home.
2️⃣Our practice will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again at your appointment.
3️⃣Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This may mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
4️⃣We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
5️⃣We have hand sanitiser that we will ask you to use when you enter the practice and before you leave the practice. 6️⃣You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the practice for you to use as needed.
7️⃣We no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

⚠️How you can help:
With the exception of children and patients with carers, patients should attend alone.
Before leaving home please remember to brush your teeth, use the toilet and wash your hands for 20 seconds before leaving.
Keep a distance of at least 2 metres if another patient is present at the dental practice.
Make payments by card where possible
Understand that the staff will not shake your hand
Please don’t attend too early as you will need to wait outside or in your car until you’re invited into the practice
Please do not arrive without an appointment
Patients should come wearing a mask if possible.

We hope you understand that this is for everyone’s safety and we would appreciate your patience and cooperation as we negotiate through these difficult times.

Thank you

Amit and the Team at City Dental Practice
